Fun in the Sun

After much complaining and nashing of teeth my cousins finally convinced me that I should go to Arizona instead of them coming up to Utah all the time. The decision to go was not finalized until the week before but it was great and I am glad I went. It provided me with: 1: a chance to remember how much I love and miss my husband, 2: break from house hunting, 3: Leave Utahs colder weather, (although I hear it was nice here as well), 4: A chance to go wakeboarding in March!!!!, 5: Time with my cousins, 6: A dress for only two dollars, 7: A break from work, 8: Find a bug in my coke on the airplane, 9: Attend the temple with my cousing getting her endowments, and 10: Be glad to be home and in my own bed. The trip was specifically to be there when Lindsay went through the temple it was a great day outside and inside the session. It is always neat for me to be with my grandparents in the temple and this time to have Lindsay be there as well. Saturday was Wakeboarding and I am a bit rusty. I was also freezing so I didn't want to fall and get back in the water. I don't care what my uncle says Utah lakes get warmer than Saguaro Lake was that day. Sunday was hard for me not being with Justin on Easter, but my Aunt helped to make me feel at home by having pie for dessert. Monday was a girls day out and I couldn't help but splurge on a manicure, pedicure and a two dollar dress I found at Macy's. I personally think the day was a big hit. Now I am home and back to reality. I am looking forward to my works Spring Break coming up in three weeks. I have big scrapbook and craft project ideas to work on that week.

Just Because

I just wanted to tell my husband how much I love him. It is really easy to get into the daily routines of life and not think anything of it. I appreciate that Justin takes the time to surprise me every once in awhile with something nice.

Venturing to the South Towne Expo Center

Two weeks ago Justin and I stopped to take a little time for ourselves by going to the boat show. Going to the boat show was great, we were able to spend time with Eric and Emily as well. The only bad thing about the boat show is the fact that Justin and my brother talk about buying a boat together. I am pretty sure I saw them pull their wallets out to see if they had some plastic in there. Not that I would complain about owning a nice new boat however I am sure our house fund would. This week we are going to the home remodeling and decorating show to possibly learn a few new tricks as we will most likely buy an older home that needs some help. If you have any suggestions of booths to visit or things to learn let me know.

Whats in my purse?

Thanks for the tag Rachel. My purse while messy because everything is just thrown in there really does not have a lot of stuff in it. Upon dumping out it's contents I found: my wallet, my PDA (if I leave the house without it I am lost the rest of the day), a package of gum, chapstick, wal-mart gift card and receipt, powder, bag of skittles (I need my sugar rush at about 2 each day), a pen and my phone. As soon as my PDA bites the dust I will be getting a PDA phone. I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place. Especially since work bought my PDA. Well there you have it. Not very exciting, but basically the essentials of my life. If I could add one more thing it would probably be a Dr. Pepper bottle that continually refilled itself when I emptied it. Then I could replace the skittles bag for the two pm pick me up. Okay I tag Michelle and Julee. You guys need to be encouraged to write more.

Just a little scary or should I say exciting?

As a co-worker and I were driving home from Ogden today we ran into all the same weather conditions that most of you probably did. Lots of snow and slush and in general slower driving conditions. We were no exception to the driving slow rule. We were going about 45 in the fast lane when we hit black ice. The rest of what happened was as if someone was replaying the scene on slow motion. Esmerelda lost control of the car and we started slipping around. We then went into a 180 degree turn across all lanes of traffic to stop within inches of the cement barrier. All I could think about while we were turning was we are going to hit the barrier, or should I say Esmerelda was going to hit the barrier first. The funny thing is that we were both very calm and a once busy interstate was suddenly clear as we went flying across it. We were both very thankful and said a prayer of thanks in our respective religions. Afterwards we couldn't stop laughing about it and how in a way it was very exciting. After waiting for a gap in traffic, we were able to turn around and get back on the freeway. All I have to say is I am tired of driving in the snow.

The Difference between 24 and 25

Lets be honest really the only new thing I can do at 25 that I could not do at 24 was rent a car. However, I did have a good birthday. It was last saturday for those of you who missed it. Justin actually listened to all of my hints about wanting an electric blanket. One where I could put my side on hi and keep his off. My family pulled through and got me a Tai Pan gift card. I am saving it to buy something for our future house, hopefully sometime in the forseable future. My in-laws gave me a nice necklace and new hoodie sweaters. Justin was off the hook for taking me out for a nice dinner. instead we got together with my whole family at my moms. There was a lot of laughter most of it at my expense. I guess another thing that has changed with each birthday is how much I appreciate my family; especially my once obnoxious older brothers.
